Sharing our games with home
Parental involvement can really boost a child's learning, so we love it when teachers share our resources with parents and get more children playing at home. Play the game on iOS, Android and Amazon Kindle devices or for FREE on desktop.
Here are the best ways to continue the great learning you do in the class at home and spread the word about the Teach Your Monster games:
Send the player password cards home
You can download player password cards for all your players from your Player Management dashboard. On the 'Players & Groups' tab, you'll see an 'Actions' dropdown menu, from which you can select 'Download all password cards'. This will generate password cards for all the players in your class.
Note: You can also download these by group or individual player.
These contain the login details for each student and are also very good to stick into reading records or homework books.
Print and send our letter to parents
You can print out and share this letter with your parents, alongside the password cards. This explains a little more about our all games.
You can also download automatically generated letters for all your players from your Player Management dashboard. On the 'Players & Groups' tab, you'll see an 'Actions' dropdown menu, from which you can select 'Download all parent letters' This will generate letters for all the players in your class, with all the log-in details for home.
Watch this 1 minute tutorial for a quick video run-through of the password cards and parent letters.
Once they have received their child's login details, parents can log in to their child's game on their device at home. All our games are FREE to play on the web, but apps may come at an additional cost. Please let them know or direct them to our Pricing help page for more information about app costs.
With the app, we recommend that parents:
1. Download it from their app store
2. Create a home account
3. Add the child to the home account using the details sent from school
The player's gameplay is synchronised between both accounts, so both teacher and parent can monitor this progress in the stats area.
Send take-home slips
We've created these handy take-home slips for you to download, print and put in their book bags or hand out to parents. These don't have personal login details, but are a good way to share the games with the people at home for those transitional times over the holidays. There are 4 to a page, and feel free to print in black and white, too!
